TONY BARTLETT is a journalist who spent much of his time in the Pacific. The film is his first acting experience. He was discovered by the director who heard his booming English voice at Cville Coffee and immediately secured him for the film.

JEREMY MULLIS is a graphic designer in Charlottesville, Virginia. His previous roles include playing a horse in the Pembroke Hill School’s 1997 production of Equus and playing an uncredited zombie extra in Zombie Bloodbath 2: Rage of the Undead.

STANLEY - Walter Lundwall

WALTER LUNDWALL Education: studied thespian techniques at Nashville Auto Diesel College under Professor L. Babushka and Professor K. Pin. Steeped in the Hodaka method.  Hobbies: inspecting trains and digging holes.

MARLENE - Mendy St. Ours

MARLENE – Mendy St. Ours

MENDY ST. OURS was born on a cattle farm in Meherrin, Virginia. She was Valedictorian, Head Majorette, Captain of the Math Team, and Best Dressed in high school: and those juxtapositions about sum her up still. She earned her B.A. in Theatre from University of Virginia and studied Meisner technique at NYU Tisch. She lives in Charlottesville, Virginia with her husband, filmmaker Johnny St. Ours. She acts and directs at the local regional theatre, Live Arts. Most notably, she played the Angel in Angels in America, Maggie in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, and Gwendolyn in The Importance of Being Earnest.

JUSTINE – Laura Galgano

LAURA GALGANO spends most of her hours at the Blue Moon Diner. She can be seen tending bar, racing about, and singing with whoever is playing music there. Making her laugh is like standing next to a barrel that may or may not have fish in it.

BRYAN UPCHURCH (BAND MANAGER) – Gerry Newman

GERRY NEWMAN started his acting career at age two during the 1960 Presidential election when he stood at a makeshift lectern shouting “Nix on Nixon” to his parents delight.  He appeared in his grade school’s performance of Jesus Christ Superstar, and in Saint Mary’s High School production of Once Upon a Mattress.  He turned his back on acting and went on to become a baker.  He and his staff at Albemarle Baking Company have won numerous awards for their breads and cakes.

 

DR. JENNIFER FRENCH - Anne Marie Sabers

ANNE MARIE SABERS is a Minnesota girl, born and raised. 45 years young. Anne Marie is a single Mom with a beautiful daughter, Marianna, who is nine. She is also a small business owner/stylist of hair salon, going strong for seven years, called Anne Marie & Co. She currently resides in Charlottesville, Virginia.

JON-PHILLIP SHERIDAN is a photographer and new father. He lives in Charlottesville, Virginia.

LOCAL GIRL – Erin James

ERIN JAMES is a student and certified yoga instructor who lives in Charlottesville, Virginia. She studied English and Journalism at New York University and the University of Virginia, and is now working at a middle school for girls and taking classes to obtain a teaching license. MY FOOL HEART is Erin’s first appearance on the big screen.

PALM READER & MASSAGE THERAPIST - Alison Bartlett

ALISON BARTLETT is a massage therapist living and working in downtown Charlottesville. She is a real-life daughter of Tony Bartlett who plays Pop. She adds: “Or so I was told.” Although Alison’s main role is the Palm Reader, she doubles as the Massage Therapist in the film.

ATTORNEY - Robert Beard

ATTORNEY – Robert Beard

ROBERT BEARD is a native of Jackson, Mississippi, but currently calls Charlottesville, Virginia home with his wife and two sons. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt and Georgetown and was once a working television journalist in Washington (much like an actor) before the media imploded. A political junkie, Bob covered Congress, the White House, the Fed and other agencies for CNN and its now-defunct business channel, CNNfn. He also toiled in the trenches as a reporter for NBC and even served as a narrator at C-SPAN. Today, dreams of being the next Brokaw well dead, he is a free-lance writer and television producer for, among other clients, the University of Virginia and the Discovery Channel. He hopes to finish his first novel later this year.

BILL DUN – Joe Garnett

JOE GARNETT is currently on disability from hepatitis and liver transplant. He happily spends a lot of time in his shop piddling: building drums and other cool stuff. He occasionally plays drums with local folks and generally tries to stay out of the way.

ROGAN BROTHERS as Themselves

THE ROGAN BROTHERS formed in 2004 by Josh and Eric Rogan. The brothers played with many of Charlottesville’s All-stars en route to finding their current drummer, Seth Johnston. In 2006, Josh and Eric traveled to Nashville to record their first official release under their own label, RB Productions. Josh, with the help of Nashville recording artist, Scott Kidd, produced “Hang Tough”, the title of their ep/cd was released that fall. The band has performed at venues and events such as: Charlottesville’s Fridays After Five(3xs), The Virginia State Fair, Crozet Music Festival, Starr Hill(3xs), Satellite Ballroom and their weekly Friday gig at Miller’s. Local gigging has also given way to shows in Richmond, Roanoke, Harrisonburg, Staunton, and many other surrounding communities.

SARAH WHITE is a singer-songwriter whose music is defined by a haunting voice, subtle lyrics, and an independent style. Sarah’s talent for songwriting received national accolades at the 2007 Mountain Stage NewSong Contest where she won Best Song for Sweetheart, the title track from her most recent EP, and a song she performs live in MY FOOL HEART. She has shared the stage with a variety of acts such as Bonnie Prince Billy, Hall & Oates, Ben Folds Five, Loudon Wainwright III, Lilys, Chuck Prophet, King Wilkie, Justin Jones, Michael Hurley, Oakley Hall and the Hackensaw Boys.
